According to the political service of Saed News Agency, the President of the United States once again claimed on social media that the Iranian military has been destroyed and that the United States is in the process of “opening” the Strait of Hormuz, a waterway used by Iran to restrict the transport of 20 percent of the world’s oil resources.
It is unclear from the post whether Trump is referring to the possible use of mines in the Strait of Hormuz or to Iran’s broader capacity to control the area.
