SAEDNEWS: Al-Sisi, Egypt’s President, Emphasized in a Phone Call with Pezeshkian That There Is No Military Solution to Regional Issues
According to the political desk of Saed News, the Egyptian Presidency announced a phone conversation between President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Masoud Pezeshkian, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, during which the latest developments regarding Iran’s nuclear program and regional affairs were discussed.
According to a statement issued by the Egyptian Presidency, el-Sisi expressed Cairo’s concern over escalating tensions in the region, fueled by provocative actions from the United States, and emphasized the necessity of avoiding any further crisis escalation. He also stressed that military solutions cannot lead to sustainable stability and that diplomatic channels must be pursued to resolve disputes.
During the conversation, both sides exchanged views on regional developments and underscored the importance of maintaining regional stability and security, while continuing consultations on matters of shared interest.
Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that Iran insists on pursuing diplomatic processes and dignified diplomacy on an equal footing, free from threats. He stated that resolving issues through diplomacy has always been prioritized over war in the Islamic Republic and expressed hope that the other side has also recognized that Iran cannot be forced into negotiations through intimidation or coercion.

On the evening of Saturday, January 31, 2026, Masoud Pezeshkian spoke with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi by phone. Pezeshkian thanked Egypt for its sincere, responsible, and fraternal efforts among Islamic countries to reduce regional tensions and support the Islamic Republic of Iran. He reaffirmed Iran’s principled policy of promoting internal cohesion and synergy, as well as its continuous efforts to strengthen and expand friendly relations with neighboring and Islamic countries within the framework of its foreign policy.
Referring to the actions of the United States and the Israeli regime aimed at escalating hostility, imposing war, applying pressure and sanctions, and directly inciting unrest within Iran, Pezeshkian emphasized that the Islamic Republic has never sought war and firmly believes that conflict benefits neither Iran, nor the United States, nor the region.
Pezeshkian reiterated that Iran is committed to diplomatic processes and dignified negotiations from an equal, threat-free position, ensuring dialogue occurs in a calm and constructive atmosphere. He emphasized that while any aggression against Iranian territory will receive a decisive response, Iran continues to pursue solutions through diplomacy.
President el-Sisi also expressed his satisfaction with the conversation, wishing peace, stability, and security for the people of Iran and all nations in the region. He stressed that there is no military solution to the issues at hand.
The Egyptian president added that any escalation or conflict would have negative consequences not only for Iran but for the entire region.
