Saed News: The spokesperson for Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied reports regarding Doha’s proposal to release $12 billion of Tehran’s assets as part of efforts to reach an agreement with the United States, describing these claims as an attempt to undermine current diplomacy.

AAccording to SAEDNEWS, Majed Al-Ansari, spokesperson for Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, wrote on X that reports claiming Qatar had “offered” $12 billion to Iran to ensure a deal are completely baseless and are being spread by parties seeking to derail the agreement and weaken diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions and strengthening stability in the region.

He added that Qatar’s mediation role alongside regional partners is “well established and publicly documented,” and that such reports are an attempt to damage Doha’s credibility as a “trusted international facilitator of peace.”
