Saed News: The Iranian delegation led by Ghalibaf in Qatar is pursuing the issue of releasing Iran’s frozen assets.
According to SAEDNEWS, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf’s trip to Qatar, accompanied by the foreign minister and the governor of the central bank, is aimed at securing the release of part of Iran’s frozen funds during the first phase of implementing a possible memorandum of understanding.
According to this report, Iran insists that part of the frozen funds must definitely be released during this process. Iran distrusts the Americans and wants to achieve concrete results and tangible benefits through this approach.
The importance of the issue is such that Ghalibaf personally traveled to Doha as the head of the negotiating team in order to follow up on the matter through talks with the Emir of Qatar.
An informed source told Tasnim that progress has been made during this trip and forward steps have been taken.
