According to SAEDNEWS, Ballerina star Ana de Armas and Sebastian Stan, known for his role as Bucky Barnes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, have joined the cast of a new spy thriller. According to Variety, the latest film featuring Ana de Armas and Sebastian Stan is a thriller titled Impunity, directed by Felipe Gálvez, the filmmaker of The Settlers. Other cast members include Alfredo Castro, Antonia Zegers, and Alejandro Goic. De Armas and Stan will also serve as executive producers of the film.
The film, which is being shot in several countries including Chile, Spain, and the United Kingdom, tells the true story of Augusto Pinochet, the Chilean dictator who ruled for nearly two decades, during the 1990s. Eight years after leaving office, he faced charges of terrorism and genocide.
As the story progresses, a mercenary and a secret agent work behind the scenes, uncovering conspiracies and shocking secrets. Impunity is based on the book 38 Londres Street: On Impunity, Pinochet in England, and a Nazi in Patagonia by Philippe Sands.
Before joining Impunity, Ana de Armas has appeared in films such as Blade Runner 2049, Knives Out, No Time to Die, and the John Wick spin-off Ballerina. She was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role as Marilyn Monroe in Blonde. Sebastian Stan is best known for playing Bucky Barnes in several Marvel Cinematic Universe films.
According to Ghaemfa, Ana de Armas and Sebastian Stan are collaborating again for the Impunity thriller; this will be their second project together after the 2023 film Ghosted on Apple TV+. No official release date has been announced yet.
