Saed News: The first Monday of May turns New York into the global center of attention, where the iconic steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art host the world’s largest gathering of stars from music, cinema, sports, and fashion. This year, “the art of clothing” is presented not merely as fashion, but as a museum-worthy artwork.
According to SAEDNEWS, the Met Gala 2026 has officially arrived, and audiences are eagerly awaiting the appearance of some of the world’s biggest celebrities, including the event’s co-chairs—Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, and Venus Williams—who will gather at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
This year’s exhibition, titled “Costume Art,” places fashion on equal footing with fine arts. From May 10, 2026 to January 10, 2027, the newly expanded nearly 1,200-square-meter “Condé M. Nast” galleries at the museum will host hundreds of artworks centered on the “dressed body,” alongside fashion pieces inspired by the exhibition’s themes.
In line with this concept, the evening’s dress code—titled “Fashion is Art”—invites attendees to imagine themselves as a “blank canvas.”
