  • Flour: 3.5 cups

  • Sausage: as needed

Preparation of Sausage Strudel:

  1. First, boil the milk and wait for it to cool to a lukewarm temperature. Then add the yeast, mix well, and wait for 5 minutes. Add the sugar and mix well, then beat the egg with a fork until it foams, and add it to the milk and yeast mixture.

  2. Mix the flour and salt, sift it three times to aerate and lighten it. Then place it in a deep bowl, make a well in the center, and pour the egg and oil mixture into the center of the flour. Gradually mix and knead until a soft dough forms.

  3. Place the dough in a bowl that has been greased with butter or oil. Cover it with a damp cotton cloth and leave it in a warm place for 2 hours until the dough doubles in size.

  4. Mix the sausages with your desired ingredients and fry them in oil until golden. Take pieces of dough, roll them out slightly longer than the length of the sausages in a rectangular shape. Place the sausages in the center of the dough and cut equal slits on the sides of the dough.

  5. Brush the dough surface with egg yolk so it turns golden after baking. Place parchment paper at the bottom of the baking tray and arrange the dough in the tray. Let it rest for 15 minutes. Then, place it in an oven preheated to 180°C (350°F) for 20 to 30 minutes until the surface of the strudels becomes golden and crisp.
