Saed News: It may be hard to believe, but doctors believe that men also go through their own unique version of a menstrual process. In women, menstruation is characterized by external symptoms, the shedding of eggs from the uterus, and monthly bleeding. However, menstruation in men is a far more complex and frustrating process.
According to the analytical news agency Saed News, the menstrual cycle or period cycle is actually a physiological process that occurs in fertile women for sexual reproduction. Each month, an egg matures and becomes ready for fertilization to form a fetus. During this time, the uterine lining also gradually prepares to support the embryo. If fertilization does not occur, the egg is shed and the uterine lining is discarded (menstruation).
This process, commonly known as the monthly period in women, also exists in men according to psychological and physiological data, but in a specific way. Men can experience a psychological "period" when there is a hormonal imbalance, and this process is far more complex.
The symptoms of the male period are shown in the table below.
Doctors believe that men also have signs of a monthly cycle. Recent scientific studies have shown that men, like women, can experience hormonal fluctuations at certain times of the month, leading some doctors to believe that men can have signs of specific patterns in a month, similar to women’s cycles.
While this occurrence in men is not as regular as in women, due to specific hormonal imbalances they experience throughout the month, this condition has become known as the "male period."
The main cause of this issue is the disruption of the testosterone hormone balance in the male body. In fact, the natural secretion of testosterone throughout the day can prevent these symptoms from occurring in a man’s body.
