Russia: For The First Time, Peaceful Nuclear Facilities Were Targeted

According to SAEDNEWS, Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told Sputnik that Western media are committing a professional crime by covering the attacks on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities without mentioning that this is the first time in history such an event has occurred.

Zakharova added: "This is probably the first time in history that missile attacks have been directly carried out on sites, storage facilities, bases, and centers involved in the development of nuclear materials within the framework of a peaceful program."

She emphasized that while the world has previously seen the use of nuclear weapons and uranium-containing ammunition, this is the first time that attacks have targeted centers for peaceful nuclear development.
