SAEDNEWS: Iran's pistachio export revenue has seen a significant surge, with a 193% increase in the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20 to July 21), compared to the same period in the previous year. This notable growth was reported by a provincial official.
According to SAEDNEWS, The chairman of Kerman's Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture, Mehdi Tayebzadeh, has revealed that Iran's pistachio exports have generated a significant revenue of $273 million over the past four months.
According to data from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran exported around 2.226 million tons of agricultural products worth $1.18 billion in the first four months of the current year, marking a 32% increase in value compared to the same period last year.
The total weight of these exports also saw a 22% increase. Notably, pistachio exports accounted for the majority of these exports, with a value of $237 million, representing a staggering 193% increase compared to the previous year.
Iran's non-oil trade has reached a significant $36 billion in the first four months of the year. The country's exports accounted for $17.5 billion, while imports totalled $18.5 billion.
