Gisum in Gilan, as a unique coastal-tourism destination, features majestic, towering trees forming a green tunnel that leads to the vast Caspian Sea.
To the south, Gisum is 14 kilometers away from Rezvanshahr, and to the north, it is 20 kilometers away from the city of Hashtpar (Talesh).
Gisum Forest spans an area of approximately 80 hectares, housing a vast array of forest trees and diverse plant species. The presence of these trees and plants creates a beautiful landscape that is delightful and enjoyable for every visitor.
About fifteen years ago, Talesh gained attention as a tourism hub in Gilan Province through investments by the municipality. Gisum Forest is rich in diverse plant cover, boasting 76 plant species belonging to 66 genera and 44 families. Among these, 21 species are woody, while the rest are herbaceous, some of which can also be seen in the Anzali Wetland.
