SAEDNEWS: An explosion late Tuesday night struck a parked vehicle on Hayotzrim Street in Ashkelon, in the occupied Palestinian territories, wounding a passerby who was taken to hospital.
According to SAEDNEWS, Israeli outlet Ynet reported that police cordoned off the area following the blast and set up checkpoints, detaining four individuals suspected of involvement.
Police said the car was empty at the time of the explosion. While initial assessments suggested a criminal motive, authorities admitted that investigations into the cause and intent of the incident remain ongoing.
