The best time to visit northern Iran is generally the warm six months of the year, when nature is at its greenest and most vibrant.
Spring months such as April and May are especially recommended, offering spectacular natural scenery. During this time, even unique plants such as water lilies may be seen in nearby wetlands.
In contrast, winter is not suitable for camping or staying in tents due to cold weather and heavy rainfall. Summer nights, however, are ideal for spending time in nature.

Always carry a garbage bag and dispose of waste properly.
Bring warm clothing if you plan to stay overnight, as nights can be cool even in summer.
Use insect repellent during warmer months.
Prepare charcoal or firewood in advance if you plan to barbecue.
Swimming in the Chalus River is dangerous due to strong currents.
Wildlife such as wild boars, jackals, and in more remote areas even bears or wolves may be present.
If you wish to stay overnight near the park, several options are available:
Wooden cottages inside Fin Forest Park (2–4 person capacity, on-site booking only)
