Attractions and Activities

Shrine of Oun ibn Ali

At the highest point of Mount Ainali stands a pilgrimage site that attracts many visitors. Historically, it is believed that the site was originally a pre-Islamic fire temple or place of worship, later converted into a religious shrine after the arrival of Islam. According to French traveler Jean-Baptiste Tavernier, it may even have once been a church.

The complex also includes a memorial for eight unidentified Iranian soldiers from the Iran–Iraq War. The architecture of the shrine is attributed to the Ilkhanid period. Despite damage over time, it has been repeatedly restored.

At night, the illuminated shrine creates a striking and beautiful view. Visitors can reach it via a paved walking path or use the cable car for easier access.

Zip Line

One of the most thrilling attractions in Ainali is its zip line, opened in 2018. It is among the longest zip lines in Iran.

  • Length: 500 meters

  • Height difference: 75 meters

It offers an exciting experience for adrenaline seekers and is a popular attraction in the park.

Cable Car

The Ainali cable car is one of the most popular attractions in the area. It was launched in 2010 and became one of the longest cable car systems in the country.

  • Each cabin capacity: 8 people

  • Route length: about 1.5 km

The ride offers stunning panoramic views of the mountains and the city of Tabriz. At the second station, visitors can enjoy restaurants and cafés.

Artificial Lake (Dag Goli)

Located on the western side of the mountain peak, the artificial Dag Goli Lake is one of the most scenic parts of the complex.

  • Volume: approximately 54,000 cubic meters

  • Activities: boating, fishing

The lake offers a peaceful environment surrounded by natural beauty and birdlife, making it ideal for relaxation.
