Kompany said this was the first time Musiala’s problem had become public and acknowledged the questions surrounding his health. He explained that the club had received its first shock some time ago and had been preparing for the situation ever since. Bayern have gathered substantial medical information and made decisions with the help of renowned specialists. Musiala has the club’s full support, while Bayern have decided internally not to discuss the matter extensively. Kompany added that they have procedures in place and remain very optimistic.

The Belgian coach confirmed that Musiala will not play against Dortmund. He said every decision had been based on the best available information and that the club knows how to handle the situation. Musiala will train individually this week. Kompany said he had spoken with the player, who gave him permission to discuss the matter publicly.

According to Kompany, Musiala made a slight change to his treatment process, which led to some side effects. He described adjustments to a treatment plan as completely normal and said Bayern now want to return to the previous approach. He also praised Musiala’s footballing progress, saying it was visible in the five or 10 minutes he played in the two recent matches and also in training. Bayern are eager to see that progress again in competitive matches.

Kompany also said playing away from home did not bother him and that lifting the trophy in Dortmund would be fantastic. He described Dortmund as a strong, high-quality team and said there is no tougher challenge than this in the Bundesliga.

Praising his new signing, Kompany said Ismael Sibaari is very strong, quick and a good finisher. He stressed the importance of building a good relationship with his teammates and said Sibaari will have an important role. As the player is returning from injury, Bayern will assess how much he can play, but Kompany expects him to contribute significantly.

Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund will kick off at 10 p.m. Tehran time on Saturday.
