According to SAEDNEWS, Iran’s national football team drew 0–0 against 10-man Belgium in its second match of the 2026 World Cup, keeping its hopes of advancing to the next round alive.
With this one point, Iran increased its all-time World Cup total to 15 points and moved up to fourth place in Asia and 43rd in the world, ahead of Saudi Arabia due to a better goal difference. Iran’s goal difference in World Cups is −18, while Saudi Arabia’s is −34.
