According to SAEDNEWS, Two national teams, Iran and Belgium, drew 0–0 in their second match of the World Cup, leaving both sides with 2 points.
Patrick Vieira, the French football legend and 1998 World Cup champion, praised the performance of the Iranian national team after the match.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Vieira said: “Belgium did not impress me at all. I think Iran deserved the point. Even though Belgium created good chances after going down to 10 men, overall their performance was disappointing.”
He added: “Congratulations to Iran. They were very organized, compact, and defensively excellent. When they had a numerical advantage, we expected them to show more creativity, but even with the extra player, their work with the ball became more difficult.”
