SAEDNEWS: Eggs are among the foods that provide many health benefits when included in a daily diet and can help support overall body health.

Why Should We Eat Eggs?

According to SAEDNEWS, Egg yolk contains about three times more calories than egg white. Each egg yolk contains approximately five grams of fat and 210 milligrams of dietary cholesterol. Egg yolks are also a rich source of compounds known as lutein and zeaxanthin. The nutrients found in both egg yolk and egg white help support eye health and may reduce the risk of age-related macular degeneration, a leading cause of blindness after the age of 50.

Research by nutrition experts at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health suggests that there is no significant link between egg consumption and heart disease. In fact, regular egg intake may help reduce the risk of blood clots, stroke, and heart-related conditions.

Eggs are also a rich source of choline, a nutrient that helps regulate brain function, the nervous system, and the cardiovascular system. They are also a natural source of vitamin D.

In addition, eating eggs may help protect against breast cancer. One study found that women who consumed at least six eggs per week had a 44 percent lower risk of developing breast cancer.

Eggs contain high amounts of sulfur along with various vitamins and minerals that contribute to healthy skin and hair.
