Ingredients

  • Rice: 3 cups

  • Sour cherries (pitted): 6 cups
    (2 cups of sour cherries for every 1 cup of rice)

  • Chicken thighs: 3 pieces

  • Onions: 2

  • Sugar and oil: as needed

  • Brewed saffron: enough for flavor and color

  • Salt, black pepper, mango powder: ½ teaspoon

  • Tandoori spice: ¾ teaspoon

  • Bay leaves: 2

  • Fresh rosemary: 1 sprig

Preparation Method

Step 1: Preparing the Fragrant Saffron Chicken

First, slice the onions and sauté them for about 3 minutes until they become soft and lightly golden.

Add the chicken pieces to the pan.

While the heat is high, add salt, black pepper, mango powder, tandoori spice, and saffron. Sauté each side of the chicken for about 5 minutes.

Then add a small amount of boiling water along with the bay leaves and rosemary sprig.
