SAEDNEWS: Ancient-Era Punishments That Were Truly Horrifying and Disturbing
According to the Saed News analytical report, the image shows an example of harsh and agonizing torture in ancient times, in which a criminal was placed inside a hollow metal bull and the door was sealed shut. A fire was then lit underneath the bull’s belly, causing the prisoner to burn in an extremely horrific manner.
Inside the bull’s mouth there was a system of tubes connected to its hollow body, so that the victim’s screams of pain as they burned would travel through the tubes and echo out, making it sound as if the bull itself was roaring.
It is described as a truly severe and painful form of execution, and possibly one of the worst types of death in that era.
