SAEDNEWS: Iran’s embassy in Kuwait has rejected claims that an Iranian national was involved in a plot to assassinate public figures or threaten Kuwait’s national security, stating that the individual had not been in Kuwait for the past decade.
According to Saednews, In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Iranian Embassy expressed deep concern over continued negative attitudes toward Iran, including repeated allegations that Tehran had interfered in Kuwait’s internal affairs.
The embassy said the unfounded accusations against Iranian nationals violated the principles of good neighborliness and international law.
It also stressed that, given the dangerous consequences of US and Israeli military aggression against Iran, regional countries should adopt responsible and prudent policies to prevent further escalation of tensions across the region.
Meanwhile, Kuwait’s State Security and Terrorism Crimes Court sentenced three defendants to death over alleged espionage for Lebanon’s Hezbollah and plotting to assassinate senior figures and officials. Eight other defendants were sentenced to five years in prison.
