SAEDNEWS: Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei says Iran has conveyed its conditions to the United States, but claims US President Donald Trump has been unable to make a decision.
According to Saednews, Iranian official Mohsen Rezaei said US President Donald Trump is caught in a situation where he can neither negotiate nor pursue a military solution, during a meeting in Tehran on Tuesday with Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev.
Rezaei said Iran’s conditions had been communicated to the United States, but claimed Trump had been unable to make a decision. He further alleged that Washington had resorted to an “air siege” amid the ongoing military confrontation.
Referring to the US and Israeli attacks on Iran, Rezaei described them as contrary to international law and said Iran had “powerfully defended itself.” He was referring to drone and missile operations launched by Iranian forces against US and Israeli targets across the region since the conflict began on February 28.
His remarks came as Tehran awaits an official response from Washington to a seven-point proposal submitted by Iran through Qatari mediation.
