According to SaedNews: A group of Democratic members of the US House of Representatives has written to Han Kao, acting Secretary of the Navy, seeking clarification about the condition of the crew and living arrangements aboard the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, which has been deployed in West Asia for more than 260 days.
The lawmakers pointed to reports of deteriorating crew morale and difficult living conditions, warning about the effects of such an extended deployment in a war zone.
In their letter, the representatives said the prolonged mission, fewer port visits and the psychological pressure of operating in a conflict area were foreseeable challenges. They argued that the Navy should have taken necessary steps to limit the impact of these conditions on the crew.
