SAEDNEWS: The Arab League has strongly condemned continued Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon, warning that the escalation could undermine efforts to resolve the conflict and end the occupation.
According to SaedNews: The Arab League has strongly condemned Israel’s ongoing attacks on southern Lebanon, which have killed civilians, and warned that the escalation could undermine efforts to resolve the dispute and end the occupation.
A statement from the Arab League secretary-general’s spokesperson said Israeli strikes since Saturday morning targeted civilians in Nabatieh and surrounding towns and villages. The attacks were described as a clear violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty and a dangerous escalation threatening efforts to settle the ongoing conflict and end the occupation.

The statement said Israel’s policies indicate an intention to prolong the fighting, obstruct negotiations and impose a new reality that the Arab League considers unacceptable.
The spokesperson also warned that the situation could move toward a broader conflict, urging the international community, particularly the United States, to intervene immediately to stop Israel’s “war machine” and compel it to comply with UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
The Arab League reaffirmed its solidarity with Lebanon and expressed full support for its government against attacks targeting the country’s security, stability, sovereignty and internal peace.
Lebanon said Saturday that despite the ceasefire agreement reached on April 17, Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon had killed at least 11 people and wounded 19 others, including children and women.
