SAEDNEWS: Western leaders traveled to Türkiye for discussions on security in a world that is becoming more dangerous each day. However, each of them departed with a six-shot revolver and six rounds of ammunition in their possession.
According to the political news desk of Saed News, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan surprised NATO leaders with an unconventional gift during this week’s NATO summit, reportedly intended to highlight Turkey’s growing defense industry. Instead, the gesture left many officials across the alliance puzzled about how to handle the presents.

According to reports, some leaders were unable to take the revolvers home because of strict firearms laws in their countries, while others decided to donate them to museums.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney joked with reporters that his own gift—maple syrup—seemed modest by comparison. He added that the revolver he received has been turned over to Canadian police, saying, “I want to reassure Canadians that they are keeping the gun away from me.”
Each revolver was engraved with the recipient’s name. Hungary’s newly appointed Prime Minister, Peter Magyar, shared a photo on X showing a decorative presentation box containing the revolver and six rounds of ammunition. He described it as “an unusual gift from President Erdoğan at the NATO summit: a Magnum revolver with ammunition engraved with my name.” It has not been confirmed what he ultimately did with the gift.

A spokesperson for European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said she thanked Erdoğan for the present. The firearm will be permanently deactivated before being donated to a military museum.
