Saed News: Tasnim, citing informed sources, wrote that contrary to the claims made by some Western and regional media outlets, Iran has made no commitment in the possible preliminary understanding with the United States regarding the removal of nuclear materials from the country or the suspension of nuclear activities for 10 to 20 years.

New Developments on the Preliminary Iran-U.S. Understanding; Was the Removal of Enriched Uranium Confirmed?

According to SAEDNEWS, Tasnim reported: Information obtained about the details of the possible preliminary understanding between Iran and the United States indicates that, contrary to claims by some Western media suggesting Iran had committed to removing nuclear materials from the country within the text of the memorandum, Iran has made no such commitment.

Essentially, Iran has not accepted any measures related to the nuclear field at this stage, and the issue of nuclear negotiations has been postponed until after the possible end of the war and the implementation of certain measures by the United States during this period.

Accordingly, claims circulated today by some regional media outlets that Iran had committed in the memorandum to a 20-year suspension of nuclear activities are false. In general, the possible memorandum of understanding (MOU) contains no details regarding Iran’s nuclear actions.

Some Western sources, referring to certain reported clauses of the possible preliminary understanding between Iran and the United States, wrote that: “In the first step, Iran has made no commitment regarding action on the nuclear issue, and nuclear matters between Iran and the United States will not be resolved within these 60 days. Rather, the memorandum will ultimately lead to a period of negotiations over nuclear issues, during which, according to current hopes, Iran would commit not to pursue nuclear weapons.” (The quoted statement is from Western sources.)

The information obtained also confirms that all matters related to the nuclear issue have been postponed to a later stage, and the current phase is limited solely to the issue of “ending the war.” The current draft of the possible understanding contains no details regarding actions in the nuclear field.
