Pakistan Army Chief and Iranian Foreign Minister Hold Talks on Efforts to De-escalate US-Israeli Conflict

SAEDNEWS: Field Marshal Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, held talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi in Tehran on Friday during an official visit aimed at consultations with senior officials of the Islamic Republic.

According to Saednews, Asim Munir, who traveled to Tehran for discussions and exchanges of views with Iranian officials, held extensive talks with Abbas Araghchi that continued late into the night.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the latest diplomatic efforts and initiatives aimed at preventing further escalation and bringing an end to what was described as the imposed war by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran.

They also exchanged views on ways to strengthen peace, stability, and security across the West Asia region.

Field Marshal Asim Munir departed for Tehran on Friday to discuss Iran–US talks. This marked his second visit to Tehran amid Pakistani mediation efforts aimed at helping end the US–Israeli conflict, which reportedly began on February 28.
