SAEDNEWS: Russian Security Council Deputy warned early Saturday about the potential repercussions of a U.S. ground assault on Iran.
According to Saed News’ political service, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council, warned on Saturday, March 28, that any U.S. attempt at a ground invasion of Iran would result in a severe and devastating defeat.
Highlighting the complexity and high costs of such an operation, Medvedev emphasized that the United States would become mired in a quagmire reminiscent of the Vietnam War if it engaged in ground combat with Iran.
His remarks come amid rising regional tensions and increasing speculation about the possibility of a U.S. military ground action against Iran.
Russian officials have previously cautioned against any military adventurism in the Middle East, describing it as an unstable and destabilizing act that threatens both regional and global security.
