SAEDNEWS: Hezbollah fighters have destroyed 18 Merkava tanks of the Israeli army in southern Lebanon from early Wednesday morning until now.

According to the political service of SaedNews, Hezbollah, in its 63rd statement early Wednesday, announced that resistance fighters targeted an enemy armored unit advancing from the town of Al-Taybeh toward the Al-Muhaysabat area. At 18:50 local time, the military column was struck with missile attacks.

The statement reported that four Merkava tanks and one enemy D9 military bulldozer were destroyed using guided missiles. Hezbollah emphasized that clashes in the area continued at the time of the statement’s release.

In its 62nd statement, the group had reported that Islamic resistance fighters struck the gathering site of Israeli forces at Abu Madi Hill in the border town of Al-Dhahira at 18:00.

The 61st statement noted that at 17:00, resistance fighters targeted a Merkava tank near the pond in the town of Dibl using a guided missile.

In the 60th statement, Hezbollah stated that at 17:10, resistance fighters struck Israeli vehicles and troops near Al-Khiam Prison for the fourth time.

The 59th statement reported that after spotting a group of Israeli soldiers attempting to recover destroyed vehicles west of Al-Taybeh, resistance fighters struck them with a missile barrage at 17:10.

In its 58th statement, Hezbollah said that at 17:00, three Merkava tanks and one D9 bulldozer were destroyed west of Al-Taybeh with guided missiles.

Previous statements from the Lebanese Islamic resistance also reported the destruction of several Merkava tanks and attacks on Israeli troop gatherings, including strikes on Israeli bases deep within occupied territory.

In its latest statement, the 66th issued early Wednesday, Hezbollah announced that at 20:15, resistance fighters targeted two additional Merkava tanks in Al-Taybeh with guided missiles, bringing the total number of tanks destroyed in ongoing battles in the area to eight.
