SAEDNEWS: Iran’s Ambassador to Russia Announced That Ali Larijani Met with Putin at the Kremlin Yesterday Evening
According to the political service of Saed News, Kazem Jalali, Iran’s ambassador to Russia, announced that yesterday evening (Friday, October 1, 2025), Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, met with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin.
Jalali stated that the main focus of the talks was the expansion of bilateral relations, particularly economic cooperation, while Larijani and Putin also consulted on major regional and international issues.
Larijani had previously met with Putin during a visit to Moscow. On his one-day trip on Thursday, October 16, 2025, he delivered a message from Iran’s Supreme Leader to the Russian president and discussed bilateral, regional, and international cooperation.
Before assuming the role of Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Larijani, while serving as an advisor to the Supreme Leader, had also traveled to Moscow in late July of this year to meet with Putin.
Today, Larijani reacted on X (formerly Twitter) to the European Union’s decision to list Iran’s Revolutionary Guards as a so-called terrorist organization, writing that the EU is fully aware that, according to the Iranian Parliament’s recent resolution, the armed forces of countries involved in this EU measure against the Revolutionary Guards are considered terrorist. He added that the consequences of this action will fall on the European countries that carried it out.
