SAEDNEWS: The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says it launched ballistic missiles at a hangar housing American RQ-4 and MQ-9 drones at Prince Hassan Airbase in Jordan, describing the strike as a response to the latest U.S. aggression against Iran.
According to Saednews, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said its Aerospace Force carried out a heavy ballistic missile attack on the hangars housing long-range RQ-4 and MQ-9 drones at the US-run Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan on Wednesday.
According to the statement, several drones were destroyed, while a number of pilots and flight maintenance personnel were killed. The IRGC also claimed that several infrastructure facilities at the base caught fire following the missile strikes.
The IRGC said the attack was conducted in retaliation for a US airstrike on a wedding ceremony involving a Sunni couple near the city of Sirik in Hormuzgan Province late Tuesday.
The reported US strike killed at least five people, including a child, and left dozens of others injured.
