SAEDNEWS: Five-Year-Old Syrian Boy Reportedly Married to Three-Year-Old Girl, Sparking Shock and Concern
According to Saed News, Syrian media reported that a five-year-old boy named Khaled was ceremonially married to a three-year-old girl named Halla yesterday in the Homs region, approximately 180 kilometers north of Damascus. The children's families reportedly held a large wedding celebration to mark the occasion.
The boy's father told Syrian state media that the ceremony would not interfere with the children's education, stating that both would continue attending school and pursuing their studies.
He added, "I do not know—perhaps their views will change in the future. But for now, they are happy together."
