SAEDNEWS: An Indian criminal man and his fiancée, who used to deceive young women and lure them for sexual exploitation, killed them. This criminal couple was caught by the police after murdering three women.
According to the Saednews news and analysis website, citing Hamshahri, On June 7, three years ago, Mandiya police in India discovered the mutilated bodies of two women near two separate water canals, about 25 kilometers apart.
The similarity between the murders convinced the police that they were dealing with a serial killer. Neither of the bodies had upper torsos, and investigations showed that both victims had been killed using the same method. After discovering the bodies, police launched an investigation but were unable to find any leads.
Even the identities of the victims were unknown, so a special team of detectives was assigned to the case. During the investigation, the special police unit reviewed the files of 1,116 missing women aged between 25 and 35 across Karnataka state and neighboring regions.
Among them, the profile of a missing woman from Chamarajanagar matched one of the victims. While examining her photo album, officers noticed that in one picture she was wearing the same clothing found near the dismembered body.
After identifying one of the victims, police examined her phone records, which led them to a young woman named Chandrakala.
Police discovered that Chandrakala had invited both victims to her rented house in Metagali on June 5. They spent the entire day there, and afterward, there was no further contact with either of the victims. Chandrakala was then arrested.
During interrogation, Chandrakala confessed to the murders and claimed that the two victims were involved in human trafficking and sexual exploitation of women. She said they deceived young girls and abused them.
She further stated that she herself had been one of their victims until she met her fiancé, Sidalinappa, who helped her escape their control. After learning about the situation, her fiancé could not accept what had happened and planned to eliminate all women involved in the operation.
Following her confession, her fiancé was also arrested. During questioning, he admitted to killing the two victims and another woman, and said he had planned to kill five more women for the same reason but was arrested before he could do so.
He explained that after learning about the women’s criminal activities, he decided to kill them. In the first incident, the two women were invited to his rented house, where both were strangled and dismembered at the end of the night. The body parts were placed in two separate bags and dumped near Pandavapura and Arakere.
He also admitted to killing another woman in the same manner. Over two months, three women were killed in total. Following their confessions, the couple was sent to prison, and Indian police continued their investigation into possible additional related murders.
