SAEDNEWS: Pakistani couple faces backlash for using a lion cub during their wedding photoshoot.
According to the SaedNews, news website, citing Bitooteh, without a doubt a wedding day is considered one of the best days in the lives of any man or woman. For this reason, people try to make this day memorable for themselves and their partners using unique ideas. In line with this, a Pakistani groom surprised his wife by renting a lion cub and using it during their wedding photo shoot.
However, this action brought controversy. After images of the lion cub appearing in the couple’s wedding photos were published by the photography studio on social media, it faced criticism from some animal rights groups. The protests against animal cruelty and the exploitation of the lion cub led studio officials to provide a brief explanation to users.
The studio stated on its Instagram page that the lion cub did not belong to them and was only rented by the bride and groom for the photo session. It was also noted in the post that the cub’s owner was present during the wedding shoot alongside the animal.
Nevertheless, the widespread circulation of these images triggered strong reactions from users. One user wrote: “Is there any permit for using lion cubs in wedding ceremonies? This is a form of animal abuse.” Another user commented: “Animals are never safe from humans anywhere. Please leave them alone.”
