Iraqi Political Figure: The United States Is Not Trustworthy

According to SAEDNEWS, citing Al-Maalomah, Iraqi political activist Ali al-Fatlawi emphasized that the American side cannot be trusted, as the United States has not complied with its commitments under security agreements with Iraq.

He added that the best example of this is the U.S. failure to adhere to the terms of the strategic agreement with Baghdad.

Al-Fatlawi stated that Iraq still faces serious threats both domestically and externally. He said there is a widespread Turkish military presence and violations of the country’s sovereignty, noting that some reports refer to the existence of 183 Turkish bases in northern Iraq.

He added that the continued presence of U.S. bases in Iraq, including Victoria and Harir, leads resistance forces to maintain their weapons until these legitimate concerns are addressed.
