According to SAEDNEWS, citing Bitoteh, Larry Gomez is the hairiest man in the world, with 98% of his body covered in dense clusters of dark hair, which has earned him the nickname “Werewolf Man.” He was born with a very rare condition called hypertrichosis, which causes excessive hair growth. Even his face is covered by a thick layer of hair. Some members of his family also have this genetic disorder known as the “werewolf syndrome.” Currently, fewer than 100 people worldwide are affected by this syndrome.

Larry, who is from San Bernardino, California, despite years of mockery, eventually learned to love his appearance. He previously worked as a circus performer and now says that accepting himself as the hairiest man in the world makes him feel special. He believes that only a handful of people in the world—around six to eight—have this condition, and he is the hairiest among them. He says that being the hairiest man not only makes him unique but also brings him fame.

However, his positive self-image does not stop people from asking strange questions. People often ask him whether he feels itching. Larry says he is no different from others and lives a normal life. Many people ask whether his condition is congenital, and some ask even stranger questions such as: “Can you live like this?” His answer is that he has no other choice but to continue living with his difference.

His unusual appearance did not scare his wife, Alicia Martinez, whom he met in 2011 while looking for an apartment.
