Saed News: A man who had inserted a coin into his nose during childhood lived with it for more than half a century.
According to SAEDNEWS, citing the Young Journalists Club, a 59-year-old Russian man who had lived for more than half a century with a coin inside his nose finally discovered the cause of his breathing problems. The middle-aged man, who had been unable to breathe through his right nostril for four months, was shocked after visiting the hospital. Doctors at a hospital in the city of Konchalovsky in the Zelenograd region, after performing a scan, found a foreign object in the nasopharyngeal area of the nose that had completely blocked the patient’s nostril. While the patient did not remember that his breathing problem could be caused by a coin he had inserted into his nose in childhood, surgeons at the hospital removed a coin from this man’s nose after performing surgery. The operation lasted about 1.5 hours.

This man, whose identity was not disclosed, was completely shocked when he saw the coin and told doctors that at the age of 6, while playing, he had inserted it into his nostril.
Doctors at the hospital said that the man was very lucky not to have lost his ability to breathe and not to have suffered long-term respiratory complications.
