Saed News: Recent studies by researchers at Newcastle University have shown that properly brewed tea may increase concentration and performance in people over 85 years old.
According to SAEDNEWS, and citing Rokna, in this study scientists examined individuals who drink more than 5 cups of tea, especially elderly people, and found that brewed beverages can improve concentration and performance.
Evidence suggests that psychomotor skills related to the brain, such as driving and daily tasks, are performed better and faster in these individuals.
Recent reports have also described tea as a substance that may reduce blood pressure and cholesterol and, to some extent, support weight loss.
Edward Okell, a researcher at Newcastle University, stated that it is still unclear whether the effects come only from drinking tea or from the habits involved in preparing it, which may contribute to psychological improvement in the elderly.
He added that the skills observed in this group of elderly people may not only be due to compounds in tea, but also to the effects of the routine of preparing a cup of tea.
