According to Saednews cooking service, to prepare baked potatoes with mushroom sauce, follow the steps below:

Ingredients:

For Baked Potatoes:

  • Small potatoes: 4 pieces

  • Olive oil: 2 tablespoons

  • Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon

  • Thyme powder: 1 teaspoon

  • Paprika powder: 1 teaspoon

  • Salt and black pepper: as needed

For Mushroom Sauce:

  • Mushrooms: 200 grams

  • Butter: 50 grams

  • Garlic: 2 cloves (finely chopped)

  • Flour: 1 tablespoon

  • Milk: 1 cup

  • Cream: 100 grams

  • Parmesan cheese (optional): 2 tablespoons

  • Salt and black pepper: as needed

Preparation Steps:

Preparing the Potatoes:

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).

  2. Wash the potatoes thoroughly and cut them into four lengthwise sections, leaving the skin on.

  3. In a bowl, toss the potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, thyme powder, paprika powder, salt, and black pepper until they are evenly coated.

  4. Arrange the potatoes on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake for 30 minutes until golden and crispy.

Preparing the Mushroom Sauce:

  1. Clean the mushrooms and slice them.

  2. In a pan, melt the butter and add the chopped garlic; sauté for about one minute until the garlic aroma is released.

  3. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté over medium heat until the moisture from the mushrooms evaporates and they turn slightly golden.

  4. Add the flour and sauté for about one minute to remove the raw flour smell.

  5. Gradually add the milk while stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.

  6. Add the cream and stir until the sauce becomes smooth.

  7. If desired, add the Parmesan cheese and stir until melted.

  8. Add salt and black pepper to taste.

Serving:

  1. Place the baked potatoes on a serving dish and pour the warm mushroom sauce over them.

  2. If desired, garnish with chopped parsley or grated Parmesan cheese.
