According to the History and Culture section of Saed News, this statue was transferred from Cairo to the Chicago Museum in 1889, where it has been on display ever since. However, in the years following Michael Jackson’s death, interest in the statue surged, fueled by blog posts written by Jackson fans. Archaeologists say the statue dates back to Egypt’s New Kingdom, between 1550 and 1050 BCE.
