SAEDNEWS: With the iOS 18 update set to drop this fall, it looks like Apple has the sneaky ones in mind. You’ll be able to lock apps—and even hide them—using Face ID, a feature many are already calling “cheaters’ paradise.”
According to the Science and Technology Desk at SaedNews, many married individuals may hide dating apps or secret communication methods from their partners.
Cheaters often find ways to conceal their actions, but not all are clever enough to cover the digital traces their secretive behaviors leave behind.
Before we dive into the signs of infidelity on mobile devices, it’s important to note: spying on someone’s phone, computer, or other devices rarely ends well. The best approach is always an honest conversation with your partner. That said, here are some warning signs that may indicate you’re dealing with a deceptive partner:
1. They Never Put Their Phone Down
Is your partner constantly glued to their phone or computer? They might genuinely be busy—or they could be messaging someone else.
Most of us keep our phones out of reach from others to protect our privacy, but typically, people don’t hide their devices from their spouse. If your partner consistently keeps their phone away from you, it could be a red flag.
Watch for behaviors like:
Their phone is always in their pocket.
They frequently change their passcode and “forget” to tell you.
They insist you never touch their phone.
2. Fake or Hidden Apps
You likely won’t see a suspicious chat app on their home screen or sensitive messages in their standard messaging folder.
Some apps are designed to look ordinary while storing hidden messages, photos, or videos. A popular example is Calculator Pro+, which looks like a regular calculator but secretly stores private messages.
3. Browser History Always Cleared
Cheaters often erase their browser history.
If they frequently visit dating sites, maintain secret email accounts, or browse sensitive content, they may try to erase any digital footprints. This behavior often extends to emptying message folders as well.
4. Always “Working”
Many cheaters use Google Docs or Microsoft 365 files to hide screenshots, photos, or videos. On the surface, the file might seem work-related—like “Q3 Goals”—but scrolling down can reveal the true purpose. Online documents can be a covert way to store sensitive material.

5. Frequent Trips to a Specific Location
Location history can give away a cheater. Many know they should clear their location data—but not all do.
If your partner has an iPhone, you can check common locations:
Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > System Services > Significant Locations
6. Their Trash is Always Full
Deleted digital files rarely disappear completely. Cloud services can sometimes recover them.
Deleted emails accumulate in the trash folder.
Voicemails on iPhones can be recovered even after deletion.
Deleted apps can often be restored.
Warning: Searching for signs of infidelity can be emotionally taxing. Protect your well-being throughout the process.
