SAEDNEWS: With its temperate climate and unique nature, Zomorrod waterfall in Gilan province northern Iran, has the potential to become a top tourist attraction.
Located 45 km north of Talesh and just 9 km from Hawiq Bazaar in Gilan province, Zomorrod Waterfall welcomes tourists and climbers from across Iran throughout the year.
“Zomorrod” means “emerald” in Persian, and this stunning waterfall lives up to its name, sparkling like a jewel at the heart of Hawiq’s lush forest. The serene surroundings create a calming retreat for all visitors.
Nearby, two smaller cascades, collectively known as the Twin Falls, add to the area’s charm. The larger waterfall plunges about 15 meters, while the smaller, tiered fall drops in two stages of four and eight meters.
To reach Zomorrod Waterfall, visitors travel from Hawiq to Zomorrod village, then follow a gentle downhill path that takes about 10–15 minutes on foot.
