SAEDNEWS: Why There Is No Trace of Prophet Joseph in Egyptian History

Why There Is No Trace of Joseph in Egypt's History

According to Saed News, citing Menvisam, some stories raise the question: if Prophet Joseph existed, why is there no evidence of him in ancient Egypt? And why did people return to idol worship after him? These questions are valid, but what is the explanation?

Amenhotep IV, who ruled Egypt during the time of Joseph, changed his name to Akhenaten, meaning “Beloved of God,” after embracing monotheism and following Joseph’s teachings.

At that time, he ordered the closure of all temples, the destruction of idols, and encouraged the people to worship God alone. All these events were recorded under the ruler’s name, which is why Joseph’s name does not appear in Egyptian historical records.

Later, a new ruler imprisoned all the Canaanites who had come to Egypt, and the people once again returned to idol worship.
