SAEDNEWS: Iran's Acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani has strongly criticized the silence of the West over Israeli crimes, saying that this silence has led to the blocking of all diplomatic channels to deal with Israel.
According to SAEDNEWS, Bagheri Kani expressed his views during a phone call with Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg on Tuesday.
“Unfortunately, some European countries have remained silent in the face of the terrorist actions of the Zionist regime in violation of international law,” the senior Iranian diplomat stated.
He further noted, “And this has led to the insolence of the criminal gang ruling in Tel Aviv that has increased tensions and insecurity in the region.”
Bagheri Kani emphasized that the European nations, by failing to condemn the blatant terrorist aggression of the Zionist regime and hindering effective and restraining measures by the UN Security Council against Israel, have effectively blocked all diplomatic avenues to address the issue.
In response, Schallenberg shared his concerns regarding the worsening situation in the West Asia region. "Austria, while calling on all parties to exercise restraint, insists on the use of all diplomatic capabilities to reduce tensions," the Austrian foreign minister remarked.
According to a statement from the IRGC, Ismail Haniyeh and one of his bodyguards were martyred when their residence was hit in Tehran on Wednesday.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in a statement issued on Saturday, claimed that the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh was “designed and implemented by the Zionist regime and supported by the criminal government of America.”
In response to this Israeli act of aggression, prominent Iranian officials vowed to retaliate appropriately, with Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei asserting that the assassination has set the stage for severe repercussions for the Israeli regime.
