The Strange Phone Case That Turns Into A Plant!

According to SAEDNEWS, scientists have created biodegradable and plantable products, including phone cases and even furniture, all of which can turn into plants after use.

The Italian company iGreen unveiled the only iPhone case at the Maker Faire Rome 2023 that can be planted in the soil after use to grow flowers and plants.

The process is simple: just take the gadget you no longer want to use, discard it, bury it in the soil, water it, and place it under the sun. The company explained that the components of this phone case contain seeds that, once buried in the soil, will spread and transform into full-grown plants and flowers.

This phone case for iPhones comes in three colors: green, light blue, and yellow. Since they are natural and have a Compost Home certification, their components are entirely biodegradable and compostable.

However, the iGreen phone case is not the only product that sprouts after being planted in the soil after use.

Luca Guerri, the company's representative at the exhibition, said: "Each product contains a seed that allows it to turn into a flower or plant after its initial use. There are different types of plant seeds in our products, and all you need to add is water and sunlight."

He added, "This business started about 10 years ago with just a few products, and now we produce more than 50 products."

These products include everything from pencils to furniture, plantable postcards, and even towels. Some of these products are used as gifts for special events, exhibitions, and congresses for brand promotion.

Andrea Molinari, the founder of the company, says his long-held dream was always to realize a project that would support and protect the environment.

He says, "The idea for iGreen was born in 2008 after my first project, which involved selling portable ashtrays to raise awareness about the environmental damage caused by cigarette butts."
