SAEDNEWS: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian highlighted the deep-rooted historical, cultural, and linguistic ties between Iran and Tajikistan as a valuable foundation for strengthening and expanding bilateral relations.
According to Saednews, In a message to Tajik President Emomali Rahmon marking the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan’s independence, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said that the two countries’ shared history, culture, language, and civilizational heritage provide a strong foundation for strengthening their “brotherly relations.”
Pezeshkian noted that Iran considers expanding comprehensive cooperation with Tajikistan a foreign policy priority. He reaffirmed Tehran’s commitment to further developing bilateral ties in pursuit of mutual interests, regional stability and security, and the promotion of their shared cultural and literary heritage.
He also said that Tajikistan’s independence reflects the determination of the Tajik people to achieve independence, dignity, and prosperity. He described the milestone as a source of pride for those who value the shared culture and civilization of Iran and Tajikistan.
