SAEDNEWS: The Iranian acting foreign minister says the Islamic Republic will not allow the Israeli regime to abuse the stability and security of the region in line with its illegitimate objectives and interests.
According to SAEDNEWS, On Wednesday, Iran's Interim Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani engaged in a significant phone conversation with Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad. The discussion primarily revolved around the recent assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, a topic of great concern for both nations.
During the call, Kani expressed that the actions of the Israeli regime have transformed it into a source of instability and insecurity across the West Asian region. He highlighted the detrimental impact of these actions not only in Yemen and Beirut but also within Iran itself. Kani underscored that the United States and certain European nations have further exacerbated regional instability by supporting the Israeli regime’s terrorist actions.
In light of Haniyeh's assassination, Kani affirmed Iran's commitment to taking legitimate and decisive measures against Israel, asserting that the Islamic Republic will not tolerate any attempts by the Israeli regime to exploit the region’s stability for its own illegitimate goals.
Mekdad, the Syrian Foreign Minister, echoed these sentiments, strongly condemning the terrorist act carried out by Israel. He assured Kani of Syria's unwavering support for Iran in confronting this aggression.
Ismail Haniyeh was tragically assassinated in the early hours of July 31 while attending the swearing-in ceremony of Iran's new president, Masoud Pezeshkian, in the Iranian capital. This incident has sparked widespread discussions about the ongoing tensions in the region and the necessity for collaborative efforts to combat such acts of violence.
Together, Iran and Syria are reinforcing their commitment to stand against aggression and uphold regional stability in the face of challenges posed by external forces.
