according to Saednews, Papakolea Beach, also known as Mahana Beach, is one of only four beaches in the world known for its distinctive green-colored sand.
Located at the southernmost point of Hawaii Island, the beach features striking green and gray sand formed from olivine, a semi-precious mineral found in volcanic rock.
The unusual green sand was created by volcanic activity from a roughly 49,000-year-old volcanic cone on the island, giving Papakolea its remarkable and otherworldly appearance.
