SAEDNEWS: An adviser to the commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force says Iran’s Armed Forces are prepared to launch as many missiles as necessary to deter the enemy.
According to Saednews, Brigadier General Ali Balali said Iran’s missile technology is among the country’s most complex and challenging defense capabilities, emphasizing that the development and launch of missiles require advanced expertise.
Speaking in an interview, Balali said all equipment displayed at a recent exhibition had been designed and manufactured domestically. He noted that Iran had drawn on global scientific knowledge while developing its own capabilities despite international sanctions and restrictions.
Balali recalled the limitations Iran faced during the 1980–1988 Iran-Iraq War, saying the country launched only 88 missiles throughout the eight-year conflict because the weapons were extremely costly and resources were limited. He said missiles therefore had to be used selectively and in small numbers to maintain operations until the end of the war.
According to Balali, Iran no longer faces the same limitations and can now deploy its military capabilities on a larger scale when required. He said the country’s armed forces are capable of responding forcefully to attacks and that the era of “hit and run” operations had ended.
He also claimed that during the latest confrontation, Iran carried out several responses for every limited number of strikes launched by its opponent, Press TV reported.
Balali further stated that Iran’s current missile production and launch capacity would allow it to maintain military operations at the present pace for several years if a confrontation were to continue.
He added that Iranian officials have comprehensive plans for using the country’s military capabilities and weapons and operate under the guidance and supervision of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei.
