SAEDNEWS: Tehran condemned the G7 joint statement on Iran, calling its allegations baseless, irresponsible, and a clear attempt at scapegoating.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry has strongly rejected the recent joint statement by the G7 and its partners, labeling the allegations as baseless, irresponsible, and pure scapegoating.
Tehran criticized the accusations as a deliberate distortion of reality, aimed at deflecting attention from the actions of those who themselves engage in destabilizing and illegal activities worldwide, particularly in West Asia. The ministry emphasized that those responsible for undermining regional and global security—including the United States and other G7 members—must be held accountable for their complicity in violations of international law, humanitarian law, and human rights.
Highlighting ongoing crises in Palestine, the ministry stated: “At a time when the Zionist regime, with full support from the US, the UK, Germany, France, and other sponsors of this anti-Iran statement, is committing massacres and genocide in occupied Palestine and fueling ongoing wars in the region, issuing anti-Iran statements only aims to distract global attention from the crime of the century and the complicity of these powers in it.”
The ministry concluded that the G7 and its allies should abandon outdated colonial and supremacist mindsets, stop scapegoating Iran, and correct their harmful and criminal policies toward the region.
Tehran’s response underscores a deepening diplomatic rift with Western powers amid ongoing tensions over regional conflicts and international security concerns.
